I want to congratulate all of the HUF set and wish them the best with their new store front in the Fairfax area of LA. This opening makes store three for the famed bay area skate/street wear boutique. Mega (Blackscale/ HUF) moved down to LA to help manage the new store and I wish him […]

On the Street Fashion - San Francisco
April 27th, 2008 No Comments
I ran into this dapper chap while on my way home from a long night of shooting. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get a full shot of his suit, but his look just oozed with cool. The James Dean hair style coupled with the jet black sunglasses is a great touch.

The Brooklyn Circus - Experience is Everything
April 22nd, 2008 No Comments
What can I say? The BKc has got me hooked. I dropped by the store Saturday to chat it up with Sascha and picked up the BKc denim I’d seen Gabe rocking in a post over at their blog. The jeans are dyed twice which gives them an extra shine and makes them appear to be a […]

Yesterday I found myself with a huge chunk of time (once again) and set out to visit The Brooklyn Circus. I’d been meaning to stop by since we posted about their sale and party last month and I was excited to check it out. Gabe was there and he was kind enough to bring me […]

Rickey Kim - He Knows What’s Next
March 24th, 2008 3 Comments
While searching for a Saul Williams interview a couple of years ago I stumbled upon a site called Evil Monito. I had no idea what it was at the time; After reading the interview and going through the archives I found several interesting essays ranging from identity politics to capitalist consumption. As I browsed through […]

They Came by The Hundreds!
March 22nd, 2008 No Comments

Patrons from all over the bay area lined up despite the slow moving procession and late opening. Passersby were more […]

After the hoopla over at The Hundreds store Alicia and I headed over HUF to check out how the guys there were doing. As usual the selection of gear from HUF was up to par (I still don’t know which pair of sneakers I want to pick up). Mega (Blackscale/HUF) was grindin’ as usual as […]

I first heard about Common Projects through a friend of mine who happens to be in living in the U.K right now. Recently I noticed a couple posts and I had to see what the hype was about. I just had a chance to go through their Spring ‘08 look book and I’m even […]

Sometimes you just get so busy you forget that there’s a lot of cool stuff in your backyard (bear with me). I think I’ve already mentioned that I’m not a morning person and today is no exception. I had an 8:30am class that requires me to be out the door by 7:30am in order to […]
