retroplay edition 1

“Edition 3 of RetroPlay was curated by our friend Academik who also just happens to be the VP of Marketing at Boxee.”

I always appreciate playlists that meander through a variety of textures while still maintaining the feeling of a story arc to them. Drawing heavily from recent releases, this playlist will flirt with you, make out, pull your hair, knock you up, not call, struggle with the baby, make you desperate for its love, and then come back to be the father you always knew he could become. And then he’ll rent a cabin Upstate and surprise you on your birthday.

Sell a series of one-of-a-kind, vintage, handmade, skeleton-key necklaces for $75 each, and use the proceeds to create a grant fund that musicians and writers, painters and photographers, travelers and revelers can tap for their next project. Each key is one of a series of 823 denoted by letters of the alphabet (currently ‘a’). Each letter corresponds to a different fund.

Underworld’s “Born Slippy” lights up my headphones…
Paper Route Gangstaz…
The beat drops, the telltale Southern high-hat kicks in…
Stuntastic, yeah… in my own way…
Blaqstarr starts weaving laid back Southern rhymes about cash, skillz, and women… Fear and Loathing in Hunts Vegas is going to be a fun ride.
