On a vision quest to bring classic hat styles back into the mainstream with ‘vigor and purpose,’ Goorin Brothers Hatmakers have sent our newly appointed leader one of their signature fedoras, The Blake. Chosen for That One  (presumably to be renamed, Lid One) Goorin kicked off their Great American Hat Campaign during the inauguration, asking folks to vote on the hat best suited for the new President.

The people have spoken, Mr. President, and its the felt, woven vintage pleated band, castle pin and custom fit sweatband of the Blake fedora they want to see you in. Personally, I would’ve gone with the Dirty Bird. I did, actually (see below). Goorin offered visitors to their SF and LA stores over the holiday weekend 44% discounts on any hat purchased to celebrate the Blake’s long road to the White House. Dirty Bird didn’t make the executive cut this time, but rest assured America, it too will be sported with ‘vigor and purpose.’

A family run outfit for four generations (since 1895), Goorin has seen a big resurgence of their many ‘timeless and timely’ hat styles. Thank God–Im all for the baseball cap and the beanie, but its nice (especially as a dude) to have a few more options when it comes to accessorizing. Its hard for a pimp.

Goorin offers four different lines. Goorin, 1333 Minna, Cassel Goorin, and Kids.
