Putting Back the Music in MTV

MTV is saying goodbye to the Hills? Well, not exactly. However the newly launched Mtvmusic puts the focus back on music. Really!

Viacom’s MTV Networks launched, a user-friendly online collection of 16,000 music videos including “Unplugged” performances. The site resembles Hulu but MTV has added a social networking component. A streaming online collection seems like a natural progression for MTV. But in the age of Youtube is MTVmusic too little, too late? Only time will tell.

    I remmember the days that MTV actually played music and was the only station around.
