The Brooklyn Circus SF x Pro-Keds

The Brooklyn Circus‘ attention to detail and their fierce love of their brand, is what keeps me coming back. It had been a while since my last visit to their shop on Fillmore, and when I saw they had landed the coveted Pro-Keds account (only two other shops in the Bay Area carry them) I had to go see what else lay under the big top.

Renowned for their iconic introduction of the classic sneaker, the Pro-Keds company has been around since the early 1900’s. Like a Lion and its tamer, or the acrobat and her trampoline, landing in  Brooklyn Circus SF feels like a perfect marriage for Pro-Keds. We were also slightly reminded of another shoe brand we are fond of as well.

The newest collection from the Brooklyn Circus clothing line shows a maturity that is displayed in the vivid, yet subtle accents found in many of their pieces. They’ve branched out recently, producing their own hat, jeans, jackets, and it was only a matter of time that they found themselves a sneaker partner. Like a clown with his little bike, I’m in LOVE with how well the all black Pro-Keds match so perfectly with some of my gear from the Brooklyn Circus SF.

Maybe the guys on Fillmore will hook a brother up with a pair of size tweleves 🙂

I absolutely love Pro-Keds, I think they are fresh to death (as Dame Dash would say), speaking of fresh to death is Dame Dash still the Pro-Keds owner? Well, anyway these are definitely better than Chucks (no offense) and I wished I could get a pair but their nowhere to be found in Hartford – you know how it is out here? Lol
