Alex and Chloe isn’t so much a design duo as it is the expression of one man’s reticent love for stylishly eccentric jewelry and accessories. Combining acrylic, metal and semi-precious stones with unlikely silhouettes, Alex and Chloe pieces have been seen on everyone from Lady Gaga (who sported the Bri-angle necklace in her Pokerface video) to Taylor Momsen and been featured in magazines like Elle and Harper’s Bazaar. If you’ve ever pined for a necklace that spells out PARIS in what looks like dripping wet glass, or thought your outfit needed a tar-dipped brass key and rabbit’s foot pendant to be complete, Alex and Chloe has got you covered.

His S/S 2010 collection, called ‘Trinity,’ seamlessly blends fashion’s newfound love for gothic minimalism with his own darkly ethereal sensibility. Cast in tones of burnished brass and gunmetal gray, the collection has a heavy punk and religious undercurrent, with bullet studs, crosses and angel wings emerging as major design elements. Some crosses lay sideways, dreaming on elongated metal chains, while others go head-to-head, dueling for the right to be the only adornment on a bracelet or earring. The bold textures of the prism crosses are especially striking, and would add some serious fashion heft to any ensemble.

One of the standout pieces is the pyramid studded two finger ring, an elegantly destructive take on the double ring trend that is a lot more wearable than most women might think. When paired with a dove gray or metallic manicure, the harsh points soften for a sweetly anarchic look. Other must-have pieces from the Trinity collection, like the suspended cross necklace and single upside-down cross earring, can be purchased from AlexandChloe.com
