It was a mysterious email. Seven words, one punctuation mark; a question.

Are you guys based in San Francisco?

While the answer isn’t as simple as yes (The Retrospective team spans the globe from L.A. and San Francisco to New York City and all the way over to Madrid), for Francis Farewell Starlite of Francis and The Lights, we will be.

Follow-up emails revealed that Francis and the Lights, the Brooklyn-based synth-soul band we first featured in March, will be gracing San Francisco’s Red Devil Lounge next Friday, December 29th. Come out and see what’s sure to be a phenomenal performance, hear some rad tuneage, and see Francis, man of mystery, bust a prodigious move. Doors open at 8 p.m. and we’ll be there with bells (possibly vandalized from department store Christmas displays). Will you?
