Asher Roth – The Next Big White Rapper?

So I was checking out the Non Threatening Black Male blog and he hipped us to this clip of buzzed about artist Asher Roth. Personally I enjoyed this track; he doesn’t take himself too seriously and I can honestly say that this video feels like the dude is being himself. His flow is pretty good and he’s backed by some real serious guys- DJ Drama and Don Canon. My verdict? He’s white, from the suburbs, enjoys hip hop and he doesn’t suck. I wonder if he’s commercially viable or if he will make a splash in the underground nerd/hipster rap pool of artists.
