Trying to do something radically different with the status quo in Hartford is no easy task. I mentioned in a post earlier this month how downtown Hartford is often, hands down, the lamest place for a young person to try and enjoy the nightlife. The reasons for this stem from the type of people you encounter; they can range from inept drunk college kids to the ultra snobby townies.
Negativity aside, there seems to be a few talented individuals who have come out of the woodwork in an attempt make something arise from the current state of affairs. Your Hartford Magazine, started by Mr. Kashif Quraishi, held a party to celebrate the release of their second issue at Spris in Constitution Plaza. I’m pleased to see the continuing success of their magazine and the ambitious projects they’re taking on to morph Hartford into something worth talking about.

The look all together was good, but those Prada shoes are killing it!

Nice to see Hartford evolving. For the sake of all those who live there, I hope it keeps moving. Too bad this developed after I left…
