Nothing like beautiful stylish Parisian women brandishing even equally lovely guitars to start off a Saturday night. Hailing from Paris, France, the Plastiscines dazzled the crowd with their Ramones-esq style of punk rock. Their live show really won me over; they were fast, energetic, and just brought it hard. Oh and please let me geek out here- any band that uses Orange halfstacks, Gibson Les Paul Goldtop, Rickenbacker bass, and my favorite Epiphone Sheraton II are A-okay in my book (alright, geeking moment over). Their debut Album is entitled LP1 so bust down to your record shop and pick it up LIKE RIGHT NOW!
Always up on their game, the duo from Missing Toof brought all the latest jams and my favorite Public‘s rendition of the Cardigans classic “Love Fool”. Jeffrodisiac, my DJ’ing professor, kicked off the night with body rock beats to get everyone in mood. I had a great time shooting them, they’re wicked nice gals. If you’re going to be doing the Coachella hustle this year, the Plastiscines, Jeffrodisac, and Richie Panic will all be holding it down. Go and check em out!
