DJ Lady Byrd

April 30th, 2008 No Comments

Just about every other time I go to some indie electro dance party, I find myself wondering (sometimes ranting), why there aren’t more successful female DJs in the game right now.  Like it or not, we are at the apex of “disco” making a newly renovated comeback and personally I’m all for it. I just […]

On the Street Fashion - San Francisco

April 27th, 2008 No Comments

I ran into this dapper chap while on my way home from a long night of shooting. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get a full shot of his suit, but his look just oozed with cool. The James Dean hair style coupled with the jet black sunglasses is a great touch.

Blow UP - PLASTISCINES, MISSINGTOOF, JEFFRODISIAC

April 27th, 2008 1 Comment

Nothing like  beautiful stylish Parisian women brandishing even equally lovely guitars to start off a Saturday night. Hailing from Paris, France, the Plastiscines dazzled the crowd with their Ramones-esq style of punk rock. Their live show really won me over; they were fast, energetic, and just brought it hard. Oh and please let me geek out […]

Madonna - Beat Goes On [Ft. Kanye West]

April 25th, 2008 No Comments

Touché Mr. West. Every time I think you’re going to throw a left, you hit me with an upper cut! Rick (Team DNGR/Webster Theater), sent me this track in the wee hours of the night. It’s about time Madonna hooked up with Kanye on a track. To me, it sounds like Kanye hasn’t returned from […]

Michael Jordan - Maybe It’s My Fault

April 24th, 2008 1 Comment

If anyone at Wieden+Kennedy reads this blog (lord knows I read theirs), please pretty please let me sit in on a briefing! I’d love to watch your minds at work as you craft beautiful works like this commercial. I totally geek out for ads like this, not because they’re hocking a product and […]

The Brooklyn Circus - Experience is Everything

April 22nd, 2008 No Comments

What can I say? The BKc has got me hooked. I dropped by the store Saturday to chat it up with Sascha and picked up the BKc denim I’d seen Gabe rocking in a post over at their blog. The jeans are dyed twice which gives them an extra shine and makes them appear to be a […]

Super 7 San Francisco

April 22nd, 2008 No Comments

Super 7 is a wonderful little boutique located in Japantown in San Francisco. At the intersection of Post and Laguna it caters to the inner toy lover in all of us. It’s actually one of two stores founded by Japanese toy fanatic Brian Flynn (Super7/Hybrid Design). My friend Shannell and I went there over the weekend because I […]

Hulu - It’s Always Sunny in Philedelphia.

April 22nd, 2008 2 Comments

I thought I’d kill two birds with one massive digital stone in this post. As powerful as the Internet is, it’s also the number one way to waste hours of your life. Hulu is just that a wonderful distraction, but so much more. Released earlier this year the people over at Hulu have contracts with […]
